Great list! You are spot on but you missed Ghost in the Shell. If Eva pisses you off, you should try the remake which is much better.

Way to keep it real. I appreciate your effort to define terms that contextualize your experience in watching media; it really shows that first, you care enough to think about them, second, you are aware enough of these patterns to know that they could use defining, and third, want to be clear about your communication. The comment here doesn’t specifically belong in just this entry, but really in any of the “definition” entries. Again, keep it up, people read your shit.

I would disagree with Fate… Have you seen the anime yet? Don’t say it if you haven’t…
Since I’m a big fan of Fate, from the game and anime, even the BNet ones…
Have you watch Shuffle?
Anime from eroge are almost ‘clear’ to watch, since they cut the H part, leaving quite an interesting story without the H part…
Is this the one you call *sucks*?

Or is it the porn part?

to review this I think you MUST play both the eroge and watch the anime…

Most of it are boring~ Yea… But that doesn’t make them crap right away…
And I like the Advent Children movie here, so I guess it’s up to the spectators, rite’? Just commentin’ on ur review here ;p

The anime’s pretty good, especially if you know the plot and using this anime as a visual reference…

Well I liked everything about Index except the setup. I like the chars, I like the music a lot, I like the production values… but the setup is pure generic Square-Enix anime. Maybe I’ll sneak one more ep.

I can’t believe you guys didn’t like Index! Only anime so far this season that opened ‘Girl appears in strange circumstances’ and the main character didn’t think of her as a sex object. Plus he seems to have normal, human, cynical reactions to his world.

Juxtapose with Kannagi (Spoilers?): Strange loli comes from wood? Okay! Bugs that bruise loli? Okay! Ohnoes she answered the phone!

I guess my review of Kuroshitsuji was harsher than it should have been – the production values are certainly indisputably top notch. I just keep hoping for another Ouran Host Club.

Shows that I’ll blog and watch:

- Tytania and Xamd (plot and visuals)
- Hyakko and Kuroshitsuji (visuals)

I wouldn’t compare Kuroshitsuji with Nabari no Ou! Kuroshitsuji has an excellent director, art director, music, and voice actors

I don’t know about this “Overhyped” business. The show is good, people like it, it becomes popular. It happens. I highly doubt there were pop up ads or email spam telling you to “watch this show! rent this DVD!”

Personally, I love the English Dub of this. All the typical parts are supposed to be typical. People criticize Lucky Star for the same thing, ignoring the obvious satire.
