Again, looks like a huge week but a lot of these are short.

New Entries: Fumiko no Kokuhaku (Fumiko’s Confession) is a one-off short about a girl whose love confession is rejected. All physical humor, but well worth your 2 minutes. Kaidan Restaurant (Thriller Restaurant) is a kid’s ghost story anime – 2 main stories, then 1 quick classic ghost story. Stylishly presented, but not all that scary for adults. I might give it another ep though. Ippatsu Kikimusume are an ooooold series of shorts about a Chinese girl who always finds herself in ridiculous crises. Mostly sight gags, but definitely for an adult audience.

Bakemonogatari continues to be my favorite regular show, and 9 is a great ep – I would not have expected the relationship here.  If only Araragi were smart enough to run like mad every time he heard ‘Tokoro de, Araragi-sempai/kun’ (‘By the way, Araragi…’).

Actually, looking at this list there’s quite a bit of old stuff on here. Kinnikuman is fun gag anime and Cooking Master Boy is just great for the over the top oh no everything is super-dramatic you expect from Iron Chef.

GA is actually getting better and doing pretty well as a school comedy till something as good as Azumanga Daioh comes along again, Kobato continues to be super cute, and Nyan Koi is still on here because it’s juuuust managing to avoid falling down the harem anime cliche hole (even though it is firmly harem anime) and you need some school romance comedy in your diet.
